Program Details

Format

1. Students will also be asked to provide a piece of information they may already know about Israel.
2. They will discuss how the Israeli government is different from the US government even though both countries are democracies.
3. The session will begin with some basic facts about the government's history and current players.
4. Students will learn about the major coalition and opposition parties.
5. The students will learn about the main issues that are currently at the forefront of the Israeli political system, and possible outcomes.
6. The current options for "hot" issues such as peace, security, and economy will be presented.
7. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to share feedback.

- Students will learn about the history of the government and about the current key political figures.
- Students will gain a better understanding about how the government operates and how laws are passed/changed.
- Students will be provided facts to form an educated opinion and to understand the viewpoints of multiple positions.
